Our Story
The story begins with the Mathison Family more than 100 years ago in Wenatchee, Washington. It began with the dream of distributing the best cherries to the West Coast. Today, we have grown and have become a leading company in the production of cherries in the agricultural industry. We are proud of the work we have done to position ourselves in today's market.

1893
Thomas Cyle began with the Mathison family's first generation of cherry producers.
1926
Chris Mathison, Thomas's son, took charge of the family business and had two children, Helen and Thomas Kyle, known as Tom.
1947
Tom takes over the family business, after the death of his father Chris. Tom and Lorraine Goldy married in 1950, starting their family.
1969
Kyle creates his own global cherry export brand

Kyle Mathison through his own orchards is Stemilt's largest supplier of cherries and a major supplier of apples.
